Welcome to my music blog! Music is my creative outlet… It always has been ever since I can remember. One of my passions is representing home buyers in San Diego and growing my company, Globella Buyers Realty (it’s where I spend most of my time), another passion is family/relationships, and another is writing songs… There is something special about writing a song that someone else enjoys or finds meaningful. I’ve written hundreds of songs (and pieces of songs) since I was a kid. This blog is the place where I get to share the music with you… It’s a work-in-progress, but let me know what you think!     ~ Justin

We Still Walk By
By Justin Gramm

We know the story all too well
Yeah, it’s one that most of us have read
A man, beaten by the road
He was robbed and he was left for dead
He was robbed and left for dead

One man walked by, he crossed over to the other side
A holy man, so wise, he saw the cry in the hurt man’s eyes

And he still walked by
He still walked by
He went on with life
He still walked by

We know the story all too well
Then came a Good Samaritan
He had compassion for that man
Cleaned his wounds and left him at the inn
Saved his life, so it could start again

We know God’s plan. We’ve read the book and we understand
A holy people, so wise, we know there’s pain and we hear the cries

And we still walk by
We still walk by
We go on with life
We still walk by

We try to ignore their desperate looks
We come up with every excuse in the book
We think we’re so busy, we think we’re so poor
When people are hurting outside of our doors
They’re people with children, They’re children with dreams
That will never happen if we choose not to see
We’re on the same journey, we’re all on the path
With all we’ve been given, with all that we have…

Will we still walk by?
Will we still walk by?
Will we go on with our lives?
Will we walk by?

"No More You" LyricsLights were flashing, sirens were screaming, Grandpa was in the back of an ambulance for a 2-hour high-speed ride to the twin cities, and I was 2000 miles away. When my mom called me with the news, the world seemed to stand still. This was the real deal. His condition had gotten worse, and this was urgent. Who knew how it would turn out? I scrapped my plans (band rehearsal) and headed to my church to be alone. I needed to think. I needed to pray. And then the words/tears came flowing out of me… “If you were to fly out of my life, where would I be?…” I began to reflect on Grandpa’s life… Continue reading “No More You – Story”

They Say – Lyrics

They Say

This is my life, this is my yearning
I scan the skies, I search for meaning.
This God-shaped hole, it’s deep within me
I long for more, so much more than me.

The wind blows, the trees grow
The stars shine, the stars shine bright in the dead of night
And You’re alive

They say You love me, They say You made me
They say You know me, You know my every deed
And You still love me, You’d even die for me
And so I run to You… It’s all that I can do.

In America – Lyrics

I guess it’s not all that bad she said, yeah.
Living in America
I have all that I’ll ever need and more
I’ve had my ups and downs
Been spun around, broken down
And I always long for more
Tell me, what am I searching for
In America?

Canyon – Lyrics

Canyon
Written by Justin Gramm
© 2008 by Justin Gramm and Blue Giggle Records

I was in the Sun one time
Mostly trying not to get burnt
And if I fall along the way, I said, That’s fine.
OK, as long as I don’t get hurt.
Some think it’s fine to pack your bags and look around a little
Just so you don’t forget your home town
One day while walking on the edge I hit a patch of gravel
And it’s a long way down…

Oh, the canyon I’ve fallen in
Gotta get me out now
Oh, the height I’ve gotta climb, my soul’s penniless, and I…
I’ve dug a deep one this time.

I’ve got a remote control racer
It goes as fast or slow as I tell it to go
And if it wrecks, you see, it really doesn’t matter
‘Cause my daddy’s got the dough
We’d march right to the store and purchase me a couple more
This time with turbo engines, too
But that’s not the way “the man upstairs”, as we have coined the term
Wills for me and you…              I slipped again…

I’ve really dug a deep hole this time, haven’t I?
Diggin’ out’s gonna be hard…

 Listen to the song, Canyon.
